Poem and video by Renee Gastineau

Autumn, 2023

Atmosphere

Wind and water
together and apart
crash and crackle to sooth restless thoughts.
Today and tomorrow
together and apart
connect with the wind and waves to say
move along, take a ride, enjoy the journey, embrace the flow of time and space.

Here is a two minute video of the view which inspired the poem.

The view is from the bluff overlooking Ebey’s landing, Whidbey Island, looking west toward the Olympic mountains.
