Today I awoke
Asking what adventure is
In store for this day..
Snowy meadow paths
Reveal its residents
Secrets come to life!
Winter adventure
Observing solitude
Wild life sojourn
Gloopy mud pushed high
Cooked under heat and pressure
Sea floor makes mountains
Earth’s crust takes new form
Ridge top Fossils reveal
Ancient water worlds
Stomping over hills
Feet smashing wildflowers
Wonder, “Am I next?”
Time takes care to crush
The mountain ranges to sand
Recycling all
Flowing to water
Destination Ocean
Refueling planet
Drea Dangerton: I don’t feel the need to explain me. There’s 8 billion of us.
