I suggest turning up the volume while watching this to get the full effect of rain falling on water. I sometimes replay this soothing video I captured in my kayak for stress relief. I shot this in Swamp Creek, just upstream from its confluence with the Sammamish River, in Kenmore, Washington.
Jill Irwin was born in Seattle and has lived there most of her life, after being raised east of Portland, Oregon, near the Columbia River Gorge. Rain, rivers and streams, and waterfalls have coursed through her life, and she has always loved being outdoors in a good rain. Jill wishes there was a switch to turn on a steady rain each night at bedtime.
